Australian Made puts manufacturing back in the spotlight with Made Right Here

Australian Made Campaign Ltd (AMCL), in collaboration with Hive Creative, has launched Made Right Here – its largest national advertising campaign to date – celebrating Australian manufacturing and the people, products and ideas behind it.

 

 

Backed by a $20 million Australian Government grant, the campaign runs nationally from 23 January 2026 until 30 June 2026 across television, radio, print, out-of-home, digital and social media. Its ambition is to increase awareness of Australian manufacturing, boost demand for locally made products and drive adoption of the Australian Made kangaroo logo – making it easier for Australians to choose local wherever they shop.

Members of the Hive crew donned Australian Made high-vis to support the launch of this important initiative, alongside the Australian Made CEO , Board Chair, members of the Australian Made team and Senator Tim Ayres, pictured above.

 

At the centre of the campaign is the iconic green-and-gold kangaroo. Across 15, 30 and 60-second TV commercials, the logo is brought to life, moving through real Australian environments, from manufacturing floors and construction sites to retail settings, demonstrating what Made Right Here truly means.

Almost 30 Australian Made licensees feature in the campaign, including Gray-Nicolls cricket bats, Mongrel Boots, Humphrey Law socks, Opella healthcare products, Funky Monkey Bars, Cyclone tools and Boral concrete. Together, they showcase the breadth and quality of Australian-made products across multiple sectors, and the everyday role local manufacturing plays in Australian life.

AMCL Chief Executive Ben Lazzaro says the campaign highlights more than just where products are made.

“As the campaign says, Australian Made means made right here in Australia, but the green-and-gold logo means more than just where something is made – it means that when you choose it, you’re backing local businesses and home-grown ideas as well as supporting fellow Aussies.”

Hive Creative’s Creative Director Michael Cain says the creative approach was intentionally simple, human and grounded in real stories.

“It’s a genuine, heartfelt story that felt right for the brand. We wanted something optimistic and positive, but also human and authentic. By letting the kangaroo move through real places and meeting makers, the campaign connects people with what Australian Made stands for today, the care, skill and pride behind the things made right here.”

Hive Creative CEO Wayne Murphy adds that the strategic challenge was balance.

“Strategically, the challenge was to tell a rich, layered story without overcomplicating it. ‘Made Right Here’ strikes the right balance between nuance and simplicity, so it genuinely feels right.”

The campaign launches in the 40th anniversary year of the Australian Made logo, now Australia’s most trusted country-of-origin symbol. New Roy Morgan research shows 87% of Australians believe it’s important to buy Australian Made, with nearly 80% willing to pay a premium for locally manufactured goods.

Australian Made engaged Hive to undertake a comprehensive strategic brand review, resulting in the Made Right Here platform – a long-term investment in Australian manufacturing, jobs and communities.
